I Will Rise

We survived the 1st week back to school! So far everyone loves their teachers & classmates. The kids have been easy enough getting up in the morning & are really more than ready for an early bedtime. But I know that this will not last...

Life can get so hard sometimes... Really more often than just sometimes, if we're being honest with ourselves.

Things get chaotic, our children disobey, we argue with our spouse, we feel overwhelmed at work, we stress about finances... So many things in our daily life can add up & seem insurmountable. And that's just the daily expected things of life!!!

Then you add in the extra unexpected things! Everyday people around us are dealing with things that seem impossible to survive. Sickness, loved ones dying, marriages crumbling, being depressed, the list goes on.

How are we expected to live and thrive when things can seem so dark at times??? The answer... Christ.

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." ~John 16:33

The truth is God did not create us to deal with such issues & therefore we are unequipped to figure these things out on our own. Without Christ all hope is gone! But through Him we can overcome ANYTHING!

So what shall we do when we feel overwhelmed and confused in life??? When the odds seemed to be stacked against us? When we feel as if we have no other choice than to just give and accept defeat?

Remember what Christ has called us to: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." ~Joshua 1:9

And remember that we do not have to do it all on our own: Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. ~Isaiah 40:28-31

I encourage you to reach out to God in prayer & through His word. I also encourage you to reach out to someone that can pray for you & support you. Life will never be perfect, but sometimes in those moments is when we have the chance to rely on God the most!

I leave you with this song... Read the lyrics. Turn it up & dance around your livingroom! Claim it for yourself and others!!! It is a great reminder! Enjoy your weekend!
