My Harris Teeter Trip 12/31

Total Sale Price = $137.07
Total Price Paid = $85.76

This was a very successful trip! There were lots of unadvertised sales and I had lots of coupons to use! I also reduced my total again by using another $10 off coupon from Recycle Bank!

Some deals worth mentioning without coupons: deli lunchmeat $4.99/lb., deli white american cheese $4.99/lb., 16 oz. cheese $3.50, weekend eVic specials, syrup, napkins, HT yogurt.

Here's the details:

My Farm Fresh Trip 12/31

Total Paid = $77.54
Gas Rewards = $0.08
This was such a large trip! I never spend this much at one time.  It was difficult to pay for certain things, that I know if I wait I could get for FREE.... Like pasta, crackers, taco kit, etc. But again it is all so that were well stocked while I'm in Mexico for a week and can hopefully cut down my shopping for January.

I actually only used 2 coupons, so that was weird also. But everything was mostly meat, bread and other things I don't have coupons for.

Here's the details:

Waffle Recipe - Freezer or Fresh

A few weeks ago I decided my kids "needed" to have a homemade waffle breakfast.... Isn't there some type of unwritten law that if you're a stay at home mom you're supossed to get up early in the morning and have hot fresh waffles on the kitchen table with butter & warm maple syrup???

My Grandmother happened to have a waffle iron that she didn't use anymore and said I could have. So one morning, I woke up early, and started making waffles... It was a complete disaster! I have never made waffles before and therefore had no clue what the normal batter ingredients were or what the consistency should be. The recipe was so complicated. Something about "whipping egg whites into peaks and folding them into the batter"..... Whatever that means! The batter was so runny that the moment I shut the waffle iron it would come pouring out all over my counter!!!

Needless to say, it was not quite the "Leave It To Beaver" moment I had imagined!

Since then, I have found a simple recipe and the post lets you put in the amount you want to make and it will convert the recipe for you!!! (I normally make triple.)

Also, you can make these, freeze them, store them in freezer baggies and then pop them in the toaster when you want one!!!

Genius! Yummy! Cheaper than boxed! And you look like the world's best Mom!!!

100+ CHEAP Small Gift/Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Featured Blogger - This Mama Says...

Christmas is just right around the corner and normally the last thing that everyone is shopping for are those small gifts and stocking stuffers. All those little things you kept saying to yourself that you'd pick up later..... Well 'later' is NOW!

Here is a great list of OVER 100 small and inexpensive gift ideas! I don't know about you, but I hate filling stockings and buying small 'filler' presents only to be throwing away those things within weeks, because they were junk!

This year I've decided that instead of wasting money, I'm buying things that are either needed, useful or consumable!

Another great idea for coworkers, friends or family is to group some of these items together for a "theme basket". I tried to group the items together as best I could! Here are a few suggestions... Baking, coffee, makeup, nails, art, golf, spa, electronics, car care, etc.

Also, considering that most of these items are $5.00 or less this would be a wonderful way to bless a family in need! We will be filling a stocking to send to our World Vision child, but you could also drop off with a charity, a church or a specific family that you know! What a wonderful blessing to someone you could be! And what a lesson it would be for your children!
